MTM – Work design productive and safe

Practitioner Refresher Course Only for One Process Building Block System

The family of process building blocks (MTM and corporate process building block systems) has grown. In addition to MTM-1®, MTM-SD®, MTM-2®, MTM-UAS® and MTM-MEK®, it has also been possible to complete an MTM Practitioner training course with the new MTM-HWD® process building block system or corporate process building block systems like C Values and BMW SD since this year. A high-quality refresher course covering the rules and new features of all the process building block systems is, however, no longer feasible in one single course. The MTM Practitioner refresher course will therefore be offered with a major focus on one MTM process building block system from 1 January 2020 onwards.

Extending the Green and Blue Card for MTM-1, MTM-SD and MTM-UAS

MTM Instructors and MTM Practitioners in the USA, who wish to extend their teaching license (“Green Card”) or their certificate (“Blue Card”) for the MTM-1®, MTM-SD® und MTM-UAS® process building block systems, will have the opportunity to attend public refresher courses organized by MTM ASSOCIATION e. V. in February 2020. These joint courses for MTM Instructors and MTM Practitioners are only designed for people to extend their certificates for the relevant process building block system – they are therefore not initial training courses.

MTM-1® Base as an E-Learning Course Now Available in English Too

MTM ASSOCIATION e. V. is launching its training services for the fall in 2019 with an extended range of e-learning opportunities, an even more attractive online store and a new version of MTM-1® Base for interested parties.

More than 5,000 Participants Successfully Obtain Certification from All Over Asia

Corporations are making use of the MTM process language to analyze, organize and optimize their business processes in more than 20 countries in the world. Deutsche MTM-Vereinigung e. V. has not only been supporting the spread of the MTM method in Europe and North and South America, but increasingly in the growth market of Asia for many years – so that it can offer its member corporations a unified standard for organizing work systems at all their production sites around the globe.

Renewal of MTM Teaching Licenses in the USA – Register Now!

Deutsche MTM-Vereinigung e. V. is offering corporations operating in the USA or Mexico a date for renewing their teaching licenses for all the MTM process building block systems. First MTM-Practitioner Meeting in China: Focus on ProKon and MTM Logistics

MTM Practitioners from Volkswagen Automatic Transmission (Dalian), BMW Brilliance Automotive and VAILLANT (Wuxi) Heating Equipment attended the first MTM Practitioner meeting held in China in April this year. They met at the branch of Deutsche MTM-Gesellschaft mbH in Shanghai. Dr. Zhen Li, Chief Representative MTM China Affairs, Executive Director and General Manager of MTM (Shanghai) Enterprise Management Consulting, chaired the event.

E-Learning: Demand Increases in Germany and Abroad

Participants have been able to take the first step to becoming an MTM Practitioner – the MTM-1 Base training course – in digital form too since the beginning of this year. The increasing demand for the new e-learning course from the MTM Academy shows that more and more corporations have recognized the benefits of online training facilities. The number of bookings per corporation has increased too. Firms are often registering more than ten participants for an MTM-1 Base e-learning course at the same time. After all, this pays dividends in many different ways – as the new video entitled “MTM by E-Learning” illustrates.

Chinese Corporations Are Increasingly Training Their Own Specialists

Ever since the launch of MTM-Practitioner training in China in 2007, the number of those participating has increased every year. More than 100 MTM-Practitioners were trained in 2018, which almost doubles the figure recorded in 2017.

Siemens, Miele, Brose and Others Test MTM-ProKonE

Is it possible to influence the ergonomic risks in a production process as early as the design phase? Is it possible to prevent costs during the product development stage? The partners involved in the MTM-ProKonE development project – Miele & Cie. KG Gütersloh (white goods), Brose (automotive) and Deutsche MTM-Vereinigung e. V. – have clearly given a positive response to these questions. Following successful practical tests, the new MTM method, which combines the MTM-based process for production-oriented design (ProKon) with the ergonomic assessment based on EAWS (Ergonomic Assessment Worksheet), has attracted great interest from other corporations too. After all, MTM-ProKonE (production-oriented design ergonomics) enables users to evaluate both ease of assembly for a product and the ergonomic risk inherent in the assembly process as early as the development or design phase and therefore prevent costs associated with introducing improvements at a later stage.

New Webshop for MTM Training Courses Online from 7 January 2019!

Registration for MTM training courses will be even simpler in the future: The new online shop will go live at www.dmtm.com on 7 January 2019. The technical implementation of the new booking system will take place at the turn of the year.

New Structure – Shorter Training Times – Lower Prices

16 Oct. 10.201
The new MTM training structure comes into force on 1 January 2019 and is based on a blended learning concept – i.e. a combination of e-learning facilities and courses that people need to attend. The major innovation is the introduction of the MTM-1 Base training course, which is the global standard access tool for participating in training in an MTM process building block (MTM-1, MTM-UAS, MTM-MEK, MTM-2, MTM-SD, MTM-HWD®). Candidates can complete MTM-1 Base by attending a course (5 days) or – what is new – by using an e-learning course.  The e-learning course also involves working on the individual learning modules for about 5 days. MTM-1 Base concludes with an intermediate examination; participants obtain a certificate. Completing MTM-1 Base is the only way to gain access to further training courses, but not to use MTM-1 in practice. The examination is taken on the final day of any course that people attend. The examination follows immediately after each chapter on the e-learning course.

BSH, Kiekert and Schaeffler Test the MTM-HWD® Process Building Block System

16 Oct. 2018
The partners in the Human Work Design (HWD®) development project – Audi, Daimler, Miele and VW – are currently in the process of validating the new MTM-HWD® process building block system and gaining experience in its use in corporate practice. Three new users – Kiekert, BSH and Schaeffler – attended the 50th working group meeting at Erfurt in September. The gathering focused on assessing the degree of maturity of the process building block system, new features for the analysis procedure and gaining new users.

From 2019: Shorter Training Periods – Lower Prices

Deutsche MTM-Vereinigung e. V. is playing a leading role in developing and establishing consistent MTM training standards that apply around the world. The requirements of member corporations and customers based on digitalization, globalization and the process of demographic change for MTM training in the future form the background to this. The new training structure forms part of the training and examination regulations that come into force on 1 January 2019.

Successfully Communicating Knowledge with the MTM Instructor’s Case

Efficient and sustainable learning requires appealing forms of learning and learning tools that are geared towards the participants. The MTM Instructor’s case is the perfect learning tool for corporate in-house MTM and EAWS training courses.

BMW and Schaeffler: MTM-Practitioner Customized

Communicating well-founded knowledge in a sustainable and cost-efficient manner – that is what corporations require in any contemporary employee qualification program. Deutsche MTM-Vereinigung e. V. is going one step further in its MTM Practitioner training.

MTM by E-Learning: Efficient, Innovative, Global

Shorter training times and therefore shorter periods of absence for employees, standard teaching materials, paperwork and qualifications around the globe, innovative teaching elements and consistently high quality – they are the most important requirements for member corporations and customers when it comes to MTM training for the future.
