Cooperation: New “Time and Work Management” Working Group to Start in 2018

Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Wirtschaftliche Fertigung and MTM cooperate

AWF Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Wirtschaftliche Fertigung (Working Group for Efficient Production), a platform for corporations to share practical ideas on the subjects of lean production and supply chain management, and Deutsche MTM-Vereinigung e. V. (German MTM Association) will be working together on a partner-like basis in future. The major focus of the cooperation arrangement is the field of time and work management – and responding to the question of whether, and if so, how time management as practiced by corporations at the moment can be made fit for Industry 4.0.

Representatives from enterprises, consultancy and research divisions will come together in the AWF working groups in order to jointly exchange ideas affecting many corporations, discuss current, innovative issues, debate relevant problems, draw up solutions to them and make them generally available; this will take place during a specifically restricted period. The new “Time and Work Management” working group is being launched in April 2018 – with specialist content-related support from its cooperation partner, MTM.

The goal of the working groups is to systematize existing knowledge and current experience on time management in such a way that all the members obtain new impetus for their design work, further development and continual optimization and can then implement these ideas in the long term. The major focus will be on specific solutions to the working points defined by those participating. The professionally qualified head of the working group will be Frank Pöschel, Executive Director of dmc-ortim GmbH in Kiel. Deutsche MTM-Vereinigung e. V. will be represented by Executive Director Knuth Jasker or Ralf Jaehnke, Managing Director of Deutsche MTM-Gesellschaft mbH.

Specialists and managers, who wish to update the time and work management at their corporations and also make them fit for the future, should seriously consider joining the groups.
