2019 GfA Fall Conference Creates Framework for the 20th Anniversary of the Founding of the MTM Institute

Gesellschaft für Arbeitswissenschaft e. V. and Deutsche MTM-Vereinigung e. V. are organizing the 2019 GfA Fall Conference in Böblingen on 12 and 13 September with the kind support of Daimler. The fall conference will focus on the fashionable topics of digitalization and demographic change under the heading “Human Work in the Digitally Networked World.”

The fall conference is not only a specialist event that points the way forward, because many well-known experts from the worlds of science and operational practice attend. It also creates a worthy framework to mark the 20th anniversary of the founding of the MTM Institute. Prof. Dr. Hans Martin Hasselhorn, Head of the Department of Labor Science at the University of Wuppertal, is just one of the long-standing supporters and partners in academic research. He will use his keynote address to focus on the experience of older employees with digitalization. He will also present the latest figures on demographic developments, particularly in Germany.

Prof. Dr. Martin Schmauder from the Institute for Technical Logistics and Work Systems at Dresden University of Technology will describe how the working world can benefit from scientific insights taking the example of assistance systems – and particularly exoskeletons.
