MTM-HWD®, EAWS, Motion Capturing: MTM Presents Innovations

The 2018 Science Year “The Working Environment of the Future”

MTM-HWD®, EAWS (Ergonomic Assessment Worksheet), motion capturing with the digitally networked full-body suit – MTM is presenting the latest innovations in the form of lectures and specialist exhibitions during the 2018 Science Year. The networked full body suit for logging movement data (motion capturing) was an absolute highlight at the A+A 2017; it can be used to assess ergonomic workloads. The full-body suit can be experienced live at the GfA fall conference, which is taking place in Berlin on 27 and 28 September 2018 with the support of the Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF) in cooperation with the German Academy of Science and Engineering (Acatech). The event organized by the Gesellschaft für Arbeitswissenschaft (GfA or Society for Ergonomics) is also an integral part of the 2018 Science Year, which is entitled “The Working Environment of the Future.”

MTM-HWD®, EAWS (Ergonomic Assessment Worksheet) und motion capturing will also play a role in the specialist exhibition at the German MTM Conference in Stuttgart on 25 October 2018; the motto there is “Digital Change? Digital Chance! The Challenge for Employees and Corporations.” You can find more details on the program and on registering here.

The next opportunity for coming in touch with innovations from MTM will be during the 11th Braunschweig GPS Symposium entitled Lea(r)n Enterprise 4.0 – Developing Employee Skills for the Process of Digital Change on 11 September 2018.

Preparing the workforce for the new requirements, communicating the necessary skills and actively involving all the members of the organization in the technology-driven process of change are all important factors to ensure that digital transformation is a success story. The GPS Symposium therefore deals with the issue of how the benefits of Industry 4.0 can be used in a purposeful way to develop the skills of employees throughout their working lives. It is only possible to move forwards even further with a continuous improvement process at a corporation in the age of Industry 4.0 provided that the workforce does not stop learning. You can find more information and registration details here.

MTM to organize the 2019 GfA fall conference
Those interested in the issue of ergonomics should already make a note of the GfA fall conference in Stuttgart on 12-13 September 2019; Deutsche MTM Vereinigung e. V. will be organizing this event to mark the 20th anniversary of the founding of the MTM Institute. The top subjects will include the use of assistance systems, the MTM-HWD® process language as the precondition for digitalizing human work, the process of demographic change and the results of a long-term study on the connection between ergonomic points scores and disease patterns.
