MTM – Work design productive and safe

Personnel change: Dr.-Ing. Thomas Finsterbusch becomes Head of the MTM Academy

Dr.-Ing. Thomas Finsterbusch, who until recently was team leader for the development of MTM building block systems at the MTM Association’s MTM Institute in Zeuthen, will take over the leadership of the MTM Academy on 1 January 2017. This position has been held until now by Prof. Dr. Peter Kuhlang, Head of the MTM Institute, who combined both functions. Prof. Kuhlang will now focus on academic issues and research at the MTM Institute, work as the contact partner for initial and further training in MTM as part of the MTM Academy and continue to fulfil his tasks as Technical Director of MTM’s IMD global association.

Dr.-Ing. Thomas Finsterbusch joined the MTM Institute as a research assistant after completing his studies in industrial engineering at Dresden University of Technology in 2007. The main focuses of his work were drawing up and looking after training documentation for the German MTM Association, academic publications, helping with research projects and working as an instructor at a variety of MTM seminars. He has been working on the development of the content for the new MTM-HWD® (Human Work Design) building block system since 2012 and gained his doctorate this year in the field of developing building block systems. As Head of the MTM Academy, Dr. Finsterbusch will be responsible for the training program at the MTM Academy, organizing the teaching course, looking after the teaching documentation, the MTM Basic services at universities and universities of applied sciences and providing initial and further training for the German MTM Association’s instructors.
