We may obtain personal data from you if you send us the contact form. We will handle this data with the utmost confidentiality according to the German Data Protection Act. “Personal data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual. An identifiable individual is one who can be directly or indirectly categorized. An e-mail address may be sufficient for this purpose.

According to the data prevention regulations, we try to gather, process or use as little personal data as possible. When people access our website, we collect and store information in log files. The following information is stored: the date and time of access, the client IP address, the file(s) accessed, the browser employed by the user, the protocol used and the linking website. In general, it is not possible to establish a reference to the person through this information, as long as a static IP address is not involved. In any case, we have no intention of identifying any individuals.

We only use the information on log files for statistical purposes and to improve our website. If we receive personal data of the type and scope mentioned above, we store this information temporarily on the especially secure servers of our host provider in Germany in order to forward it to the relevant office computers. Access to these servers is restricted to just a few, specially authorized persons; they are responsible for operating the servers from a technical, commercial and editorial point of view. We do not pass on the data shared with us to any third parties. We only use 'cookies' (small files with configuration information) for language settings.

If you ask us any questions via the contact form, we store your details from the enquiry form, including the contact data specified there, so that we can process the enquiry and have the information available if you ask any further questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

If you would like to receive the newsletter made available on the website, we need your email address and information to check whether you are the owner of the specified email address and agree to receiving the newsletter. We make use of “rapidmail,” the newsletter software from a certified German provider, in order to send our newsletter. Your data is therefore forwarded to rapidmail GmbH. However, rapidmail GmbH is prohibited from using your data for any other purpose than sending out the newsletter. rapidmail GmbH is not allowed to pass on or sell your data. You may revoke your consent for your data to be stored and used to send out the newsletter at any time – e. g. by means of the “Unsubscribe” link in the newsletter.

We use the AWStats program so that we can evaluate the statistics on our site. The program involves free web analysis software. It is used to evaluate log files that web servers generate on the basis of visitor enquiries. The program does not use any cookie files for assessment purposes. The statistical analysis takes place via the log files and they also contain IP addresses. This data cannot normally be assigned to particular individuals. We do not combine this data with that from other sources and the data is deleted once the statistical assessment has been completed.

In contrast to other statistical programs, no data is transferred to an outside server in the case of AWStats. The program is installed on our own hosting package. This prevents any transfer of data abroad, for example, because our server is located in Germany.

You have the right at any time to know which personal data has been stored, its source and recipient and the purpose of the data processing without having to pay for this information – and you have a right to have this data corrected, barred or deleted. Please contact us at any time using the address specified in the legal notice regarding this or any other questions on the issue of data privacy.

We object to anybody using the contact data published in the mandatory legal notice to send unwanted advertising and information materials. MTM shall explicitly retain the right to initiate legal proceedings if any unwanted advertising materials are sent, including spam emails.
